It is about equidistant from Upper Hutt & Lower Hutt, about 3 kms further to Porirua & 10 kms further to Wellington City. Its even minutes away from some of the locations where the Academy Award winning movie "The Lord of the Rings" was filmed.
Railway Station at the bottom of the hill is 3 kms away connecting with trains directly to the Westpac Stadium in Wellington, for rugby matches, tests & events to Wellington Railway station, main bus terminals & Interislander rail ferries.
From the top of the property can see on a clear day, snow on the South Island Kaikoura mountains , Wellington Harbour and the Pauatahanui Inlet where Windsurfers learn surfing skills, and other water sports in the safety of the very shallow salt water "lake".
